Delhi: AK Walia, Congress leader passes away due to Covid-19

enior Congress Leader and Former Delhi Minister Dr AK Walia passed away today in Delhi due to Covid-19. He was undergoing treatment at Delhi's  Apollo Hospital. He was one of the few to have served four terms as a member of the Legislative assembly (MLA), the four-time MLA represented Laxmi Nagar Assembly Constituency in his fourth term and had the health, Urban development, land and building portfolios. 

Delhi Congress Chief Anil Chaudhary called Walia's passing away a big loss for the party in the National Capital. Covid-19  cases are spreading their wings, whereas the crisis for oxygen cylinders and  Remdesivir has created panic among the families of the patients.

According to the Delhi Health department, Delhi reported 24,638 new Covid-19 cases. Meanwhile, India reported  3,14,835 fresh Covid-19 cases.
