he central government will begin the third phase of corona vaccination amidst the coronavirus epidemic spreading in the country. According to the government, the third phase of vaccination will begin from May 1. From May 1, all people above 18 years of age will be able to get a vaccine against corona. This vaccine will also be available on the market, but in order to be vaccinated, people will need to register on the Covin app. Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved these new standards of vaccination on Monday.

It was decided in the meeting that state governments, private hospitals and industrial establishments would be able to purchase vaccines directly from companies according to their own requirements. This purchase will be done at a fixed price from the center, at what rate the company will give the vaccine in the open market and what price will have to be paid to the people, detailed guidelines can come later. While giving more powers to the states, it has been decided that the company producing the Covid vaccine will give 50% of the vaccine to the central government and can sell the remaining half in the state governments and the market. The center will also provide its purchased vaccine to the states.

The process of vaccination in the country started on 16 January. So far more than 12.50 crores have been vaccinated. Right now, people above 45 years are being vaccinated. Even now, reports of shortage of vaccines are coming daily from many places.
