Centre to reopen Sardar Patel Covid care centre with 2,000 beds

he incessant rise in Covid-19 cases has created an alarming situation in the National capital, where Covid-19 cases are on the spike.The Central Government has decided to reopen Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Covid-19 care Centre in the National Capital's Bhati Mines.

This centre will be operational in the next one or two days. Around 2,000 beds capacity is available in this Covid-19 care centre and this will be handled by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). Whereas the ITBP and its special team of doctors will look at Covid-19  patients in this centre, foods will be provided by Radha Soami Satsang Beas.Separate arrangements have been made for each patient, a separate bed, chair, toiletry kit and many more arrangements have been made separately for the patients due to high infection risk.

According to the reports, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh had directed Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) to reopen Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Covid Care hospital in the Capital.

Delhi on Sunday recorded the highest jump in Covid-19 cases with 25,462 new cases and 161 deaths in 24 hours and the positivity rate touched around 29.74 per cent.

Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal will meet today at 11 am to discuss the Covid-19 situation in the Capital.
