UP: Negative RT-PCR report mandatory for devotees to enter temples

mid a massive rise in Covid-19 cases Uttar Pradesh government has made negative RT-PCR Covid report mandatory for devotees to enter the temple in Varanasi. According to Divisional Commissioner Deepak Agarwal "Varanasi District administration has made it mandatory for devotees to produce Negative RT-PCR  test report not older than 3 days to enter Vishwanath Temple, Sankatmochan Temple and Annapurna Temple"

On Wednesday Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath has tested positive for Coronavirus. He had taken his jab for the Covid-19 vaccine this month. Meanwhile Samajwadi party Leader, Akhilesh Yadav also tested positive for Covid-19. 

According to the bulletin, Around 5,433 cases were reported from Lucknow, 1,702 from Allahabad,1,585 cases from Varanasi and 591 cases from Gorakhpur. Whereas Lucknow witnessed 14 deaths,10 deaths in Allahabad,4 in Moradabad and 3 each in Varanasi, Kannauj and Kanpur.
