Covid-19: Lockdown imposed in Rajasthan for 14 days

ovid-19  second wave is creating a horrific scenario, meanwhile, Rajasthan witnessed a rise in Covid-19 infections. On Thursday, The State Government announced a complete lockdown in the State. The lockdown will commence to from 5 Am of 10 May till 24 May. There will be a complete lockdown for 14 days where all the activities have been banned, only essential services will take place even weddings have been prohibited during this 14-day lockdown. 

Chief Minister, Ashok Gehlot announced after the meeting of the Council of Ministers. He formed a group of Five Ministers to deliberate on the measure to break the chain of Covid-19. The report suggested imposing the lockdown. After which this decision was taken.

Ministers who suggested lockdown include Urban Development Minister Shanti Dhariwal, Jalade Minister Dr BD Kalla, Medicine Minister DR.Raghu Sharma, Minister of State for education Govind Singh Dotasara and Minister of State medicine, DR. Subhash Garg was present to make this decision. 

Meanwhile, Covid-19  has created havoc and around 28 trains including Rajdhani, Shatabdi has been cancelled. whereas travelers from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana via any means of transport have to undergo institutional quarantine due to a surge in Covid-19 cases.
