Bihar Government fixes Ambulance rate for Covid-19 patients

hereas Covid-19 has brought a crisis in medical equipment, transportation equipment and many other resources, many people started profiteering during the crisis. Numerous scam and fraud is taking place and black marketing for oxygen is on an increase. People are selling duplicate products in the name of medical drugs. Meanwhile,  a day after imposing a lockdown in Bihar, the Government of Bihar has fixed a rate for Ambulance for Covid-19 patients. 

According to the states health and transportation department "the rates for both AC and Non AC Ambulances are being fixed now. while the Ambulance operators can charge rupees 1,500 for a small Non AC vehicle for up to 50 km( including both sides), a maximum of rupees 2,500 can only be charged for bigger vehicles with AC. Rates will vary depending upon the category of the vehicle, said the order.

Delhi police have also issued 113 FIRs against the people who are profiteering during Covid-19 and selling fake products or taking bribes during this time. India is currently witnessing a deadly wave of Covid-19. The country has been recording more than 3 lakh Covid-19 cases every day.
