here has been a complete lockdown of one week in Haryana from Monday(today). The state government has taken this decision on the recommendation of District Nodal Officers after the ever-increasing corona infection in the state. All types of traffic, markets, markets and shops will remain closed during lockdown. Home and Health Minister Anil Vij informed about this decision of the government by tweeting.

The lockdown will start from Monday and will continue in the state till 5 am on May 10. After May 10, the next decision will be taken after reviewing the situation in Corona. Due to Corona infection, the government has already imposed night curfew in all the districts of the state. After the weekend lockdown in Haryana, two days ago in nine districts of Panchkula, Gurugram, Faridabad, Hisar, Sonipat, Rohtak, Karnal, Sirsa and Fatehabad from 10 am Friday to 5 am Monday, now a seven-day lockdown has been imposed in the entire state. The weekend lockdown was on Monday, May 3 until 5 am, but now the lockdown will continue even after that.

The government's decision to lockdown was left to the state Home and Health Minister Anil Vij. Vij had received reports from all the top IAS officers besides DC-SP and CMO of all the districts who have been assigned district-wise in charge. While Haryana has implemented a full seven-day lockdown, Punjab has announced a 15-day mini-lockdown. There will be a lockdown in Odisha from May 5 to 19.
