hile  the second wave of Covid-19 has killed many lives and has damaged many, talking about the stocks of Health equipment like Oxygen cylinder, Remdesivir or beds even that is also not available properly. After the announcement of the Registration of Vaccination for the age group of 18 to 45 years. The process for Registration started from yesterday (April 28) from 4 PM onwards but the portal was crashed in between and was refixed later.

Around 1.33 crore Indians have registered themselves for the Covid-19 vaccine process. In this third phase of the Vaccination drive, everyone above 18 years will be eligible to get vaccinated. Yesterday many complained regarding the CoWin portal which was not responding, there was some technical issue while others complained that it got crashed. later Union Health Ministry informed that "The server has crashed." 

According to the Ministry, "More than 80 lakh people registered themselves on the portal in 3 hours from 4 pm to 7 pm . Where as the portal received 383 million API hits initially as high as 2.7 Million hits per minute and a total of 1.45 Crore SMS have been delivered successfully. " Further, it also said that" a  liberalized and accelerated Phase 3 strategy of Covid-19 vaccination will be implemented from 1st May.

Registration of the new eligible population groups commenced today from 4 p.m." Potential beneficiaries can register directly on the CoWin portal through the Arogya Setu app. The capacity of the servers and other parameters have been ramped up to match the unprecedented scale of immunization so that the CoWin system can provide citizen-centric services. Inclusivity, speed and scalability have been kept in mind while designing the unique digital platform with all components being portable and synchronous without excessive and unnecessary dependencies, said the Ministry.
