JNU to organize 3 days Covid vaccination camp for eligible employees

he Jawaharlal Nehru University on  Tuesday said it will organize a three-day COVID-19 vaccination camp on the campus for its eligible employees and their dependents. It will be organized from April 29-May 1 at the Faculty Club, near the railway reservation center within the campus, and beneficiaries will have to register themselves for taking the shot. The main focus is on employees and their dependents (age group 45 years and above and all the staff working under essential services of the University residing both inside and outside the campus, the camp is organized by the District Magistrate of New Delhi which will conduct between 9.30 am to 4 pm.

In a press note, the university administration announced that like every other institution in the country, JNU  is putting its best efforts both medical and social, for all its residents, ever since COVID-19 started in the nation. Further, the JNU circular said keeping in mind social distancing, people can register themselves through the Cowin government website. In addition, the security department of JNU will be facilitating vaccination venues in the group of 2 to 3 people.

In the last few months, JNU has organized several COVID testing camps on the campus with the help of the local Sub-Divisional Magistrate’s Office.
