Ashoka Hotel to be converted into Covid care

he national capital is facing a scarcity of beds to admit Covid-19 patients, meanwhile, many judges of the courts have been tested positive. The AAP Government has passed an order to convert 100 rooms of Ashoka Hotel into a Covid-19 care facility. This facility will be available for all the judges and other judicial officers of the Delhi High Court and their families. The AAP Government also added that the Primus Hospital in Delhi's will run the Community Health Centre(CHC) facility at Ashoka Hotel. 

According to the Government, "All the biomedical waste disposal will be the responsibility of the hospital " further it said that, The staff of the hotel shall be provided with all protective gear and given basic adequate training. Ambulance for the transport facility will be provided by the Primus Hospital. For any shortage of hotel staff, the same will be provided by the hospital, All the services including room, housekeeping disinfection and food for the patient among other things shall be provided by the hotel. The charge shall be collected by the hospital and the hospital shall make the payment towards the hotel. The Primus Hospital may accommodate their doctor, nurse and other paramedical staff for their expenses after deciding the rates manually", said the order.
