No walk-in Vaccination", Registration via CoWin/Arogya compulsory

nbsp;Ahead of India's third phase of Covid-19 vaccine for all above 18 years of Age will start from 1st May. According to the Health Ministry registration is  must, one must register itself via the CoWin web portal or Arogya setu application for taking the vaccine shot.

According to the CoWin chief, RS Sharma," it's expected that once the vaccination is open for all adults, there could be a lot of crowd at the vaccination Centre. To avoid such a scenario, registering on the CoWin portal and making an appointment to get a vaccine will be made mandatory for the new beneficiaries. Walk-in will not be allowed in the beginning so that there is no chaos".

The registration process for the vaccine will begin from the 28th of April via Arogya setu app or CoWin platform. The inoculation process as well as documents to be provided to get the vaccination will remain the same. They also added that those above 45 years of age can still avail on-site registration facility to get vaccinated. 

As per the liberalized pricing and accelerated National Covid-19 vaccination strategy, vaccination will continue to be free for Health care workers and frontline workers. Meanwhile, the Centre has written to all the states and advise them to monitor the number of Hospitals they have procured vaccines and have declared stocks and price per jab on CoWin to ensure that adequate stocks are available ahead of vaccination scheduling in visibility of slots on the online portal.
