US permits diplomats to leave Nepal

octors in Nepal have warned of major crises due to new cases of infections coming every day. There has been a shortage of beds and oxygen in the hospitals of the country. On Thursday, 9070 new cases were registered here. On Friday, the US decided to call back its diplomats and their families living in the US Embassy of Nepal, and said that the government will bear the expenses of this visit. The US Home Ministry has taken this decision in the wake of increasing epidemic cases. The Ministry of Home Affairs also advised that Americans who are planning to go there should reconsider it and those who are staying there if they want to return contact the embassy. The Embassy will start operating charter flights due to a ban on regularly operated flights.

The Nepal government has banned all domestic and international flights until 14 May due to the growing corona cases in the country. However, charter flights are permitted. Nepal has made it compulsory for all people coming from foreign to stay quarantined for at least 10 days. The Covid Negative Certificate within 72 hours will also be compulsory for these travelers to depart from their country of origin for entering Nepal. Prior to the Oli Cabinet's decision, the Civil Aviation Regulatory Authority had already issued a norm to airlines to limit the number of flights.
