s Covid-19 continues to surge in the National Capital, battling acute shortage of oxygen some hospitals on Sunday sent out desperate SOS calls to authorities to replenish their dwindling stocks. Many hospitals in the National capital have raised their hand about lack of oxygen and are unable to accept patients who require oxygen support.

Madhukar  Rainbow children hospital tweeted that," Won't take any admission which requires oxygen or ventilation support due to inconsistent Liquid Oxygen supply. This is with immediate effect. Also, we don't have enough supply post 11 PM Tonight."

Other hospitals are in the same queue, crying for help, Akash healthcare requested a cry for help, said that it received 5 cylinders after running around the entire day, not more than 60 minutes to save the lives of more than 250 patients. Whereas the CEO of Vimhans Hospital south Delhi requested the same issue, Sitaram Bhartia Institute of Science and Research requested help via social media, Hakim Abdul Hamid Centenary Hospital requested for the same crisis. According to Dinesh Vashishth, head of the hospital "it has become a daily firefight in the absence of a continuous supply. We require around 125 oxygen cylinders a day."

On Saturday, 12 Covid-19 patients Including a senior  Doctor died at Batra hospital, South Delhi after the facility ran dry for oxygen. The Delhi Government has been demanding 976 MT oxygen from the centre against the existing allotted 490MT quota. 

According to the Health bulletin, the National Capital recorded 407 Covid deaths and 20,000 New Covid-19 cases with a positivity rate of 28.33 per cent.
