"Don't demand Covid-19 report for admitting patients": HC

he Delhi High Court has directed hospitals in the National to follow the AAP Government's circular, which says  not to ask for a Covid-19 test report before admitting the patients showing Symptoms of Covid-19. A bench of Chief Justice DN Patel and Justice Jasmeet Singh also directed the Delhi Government to publicize this circular on the matter. The petitioner, Jaideep Ahuja had told the bench of the Uttar Pradesh Government has passed a direction on not insisting on Covid-19 RT-PCR  Positive test for admitting patients. 

The health department had also issued this circular, directing hospitals in the city not to demand any positive report for Covid-19 before admitting the patients who are showing the symptoms. They also said that these patients would be kept in a dedicated area in the hospital which is meant for suspected cases.

Delhi recorded 20,201 new Covid-19 cases and 380 deaths including 16 Deaths per hour.
