Due to the growing demand for remdesivir injection, which is considered to be very important in the treatment of corona, its black marketing is also happening. On Friday, the crime branch of Delhi Police exposed the black marketing of remdesivir injection.

The crime branch has taken action in separate cases and arrested four people from two interstate gangs. In the first case, the police team led by Inspector Gurmeet Singh on secret information arrested Talwinder Singh from Amritsar, Punjab and Jitendra from Delhi. Three vials of remdesivir have been found by their possession.

The accused used to sell these injections for 25 to 40 thousand rupees. During the interrogation, the accused Talwinder Singh said that he supplied remdesivir across the country through a courier company based in Chandni Chowk. Accused Jitendra used to work in this courier company. And used to charge a commission of two thousand rupees for the supply of remdesivir.

At present, the police are interrogating both the accused and are raiding to find their other accomplices. In another case, the police team led by Inspector Neeraj Chaudhary conducted a raid in GTB Nagar after the information about the black marketing of this injection and arrested two accused named Shoaib and Mohan. The police have recovered ten remdesivir injection vials from their possession. The police are currently interrogating these four accused. Earlier on Monday, Basant Goyal, who lives in Vivek Vihar, was arrested on the charge of black marketing of remdesivir along with his employee Ram Avtar Sharma.
