imachal Pradesh has announced free Covid-19 treatment in private hospital.

In a public service initiative, the Himachal Pradesh Government will provide free Covid-19 treatment to the patients getting admitted in private hospitals. According to the statement given by Chief Minister, Jai Ram Thakur, "Himachal Pradesh has decided to provide free treatment to beneficiaries of Himcare and Ayushman Bharat Schemes to Covid-19 patients in registered  private hospitals  which have been  dedicated as COVID Hospital "

As per the statement given by government official it said that only the beneficiaries of the Himcare and Ayushman Bharat Scheme can avail of the facility and the authorities said that "The scheme will be only applicable in private hospitals which are dedicated COVID Hospitals." 

According to the Himachal Pradesh Health Department, it said that the State recorded over 4,977 new Covid-19 cases and 66 deaths in the last 24 hours. whereas 2,187 patients have been recovered from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours .while the active Covid-19 cases in the state stand at 38,954.
