ovid-19 deaths continue to rise in the country. Meanwhile, people have been shocked by the horrific images of bloated bodies. Many deceased bodies were seen floating in the Ganga River of Bihar. The incident took place in Bihar, where several bodies including decomposed bloated bodies were seen floating in the river Ganga of Bihar district. These bodies are suspected to be Covid-19 victims.

According to PTI, Chausa BDO Ashok Kumat said that "we were alerted by the local chowkidar that many bodies have been spotted floating from upstream. we have so far recovered 15 of these. None of the deceased happens to be a resident of the district." He added that many Uttar Pradesh districts are situated across the river and the bodies have been dumped in the Ganges for reasons not known to us. we cannot confirm whether the deceased were Covid-19 positive. The bodies have started decomposing. But we are taking all precautions while ensuring that these are disposed of in a decent manner, said the official. 

As per some statements given by local villagers, they said that Those manning cremation grounds were charging huge amount of money whenever people reached there with the deceased body. Meanwhile, the village is also facing a shortage of woods and other requirements for cremation.
