elhi authorities need to administer at least three lakh doses of vaccines a day to vaccinate all citizens over the age of 18 in three months, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Friday. "If we get enough doses of vaccine, we can complete the vaccine within three months. There are 1.5 crore people under the age of 18 in Delhi so we need three crore doses. In this regard, the Delhi government has only got 40 lakh doses so far. We need doses 2.6 more, " said Kejriwal.

The CM said about 1 lakh people are being vaccinated daily at the moment. "About 50,000 of these are given to those over the age of 45 and 50,000 doses to beneficiaries between the ages of 18-44," he said.

Delhi has five to six days of vaccination, according to the CM. To improve the quality and effectiveness of the vaccine, the government needs to be provided with at least 85 lakh vaccines every month for the next three months. Kejriwal also spoke about the need for vaccination of children as Covid-19 cases grow. "We are very concerned about children because they cannot be vaccinated now. I urge experts and the federal government to bring child medicine as soon as possible," he said Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said on Friday that 1.84 lakhs of people aged 18-44 had received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine since the inception of the category on May 3.
