fter declaring a full emergency, an air ambulance carrying five people, including a patient and a doctor, landed at Mumbai airport on late Thursday evening, with the airport authorities foaming the runway to prevent the aircraft from catching fire. A wheel broke away from the aircraft as soon as the air ambulance going from Nagpur to Hyderabad was taken with a patient. After this, emergency landing of the aircraft has been done in Mumbai. All passengers are safely evacuated by closing the runway.

According to Mumbai Airport, CSMIA also closed Runway 27 as a precautionary measure to avoid fire in the aircraft. All passengers were safely evacuated and flights operating within and outside the CSMIA remained on schedule. Jet ambulance carrying a patient dropped a wheel during takeoff from Nagpur. Captain Kesari Singh landed the airplane on foam carpeting in Mumbai. All passengers are safe. It is said that two crew members, two doctors and a patient were in it.

According to an official, the aircraft belonged to Jet Serve Aviation Pvt Ltd based in Gurugram. "The airport's emergency response team, as well as the fire and rescue responders, follow-me vehicles, CISF, medical team amongst many others, was activated instantly and on standby to provide immediate assistance to confirm the safe evacuation of the passengers," the statement said. A complete emergency is declared when an aircraft approaches an aerodrome in a manner that potential accident is imminent.
