Forest Fire in Mizoram : Pm Modi assures Cm of all help

nbsp;A massive fire broke out in the Lunglei district of Mizoram which also destroyed adjoining area of Lunglei town on Sunday night, no human died in this accident as per inputs, - other districts apart from Lunglei name as  Serchhip, Lawngtlai and Hnahthial have been affected by fire blaze, The forest fire broke out in at least eight forest areas near Serchhips Chanmari Veng. locality, Chhiahtlang, and North Vanlaiphai as per reported in Darzo and South Vanlaiphai forest areas in Hnahthial district.

In a statement, police said “the forest fire has also broken out in surrounding areas in Mizoram's southernmost Lawngtlai district, bordering Myanmar. Moreover, 12 houses were gutted at Bungtlang South village in the district by the fire, which spread from the forest on Sunday. furthermore, two helicopters were also sent to quell a forest fire- helicopters, equipped with Bambi Bucket, to douse the major fire in Lunglei district and adjoining areas,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi also spoke to Chief Minister Zoramthanga over the phone about the forest fire in the northeastern state and assure help to them he wishes for safety and wellbeing of the people of Mizoram, In reply back, Chief Minister of Mizoram also tweeted .” Thank you so much Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi also in thanking the Central Government for their helping prompt assurance and help.

Hundreds of Disaster Management people and volunteers also step up in helping to control the inferno. Earlier in this year, the fire also took place in four northeastern states – Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh,  Manipur and Mizoram.
