Miss Mexico Andrea Meza crowned 69th Miss Universe

n Sunday, Miss Mexico Andrea Meza was crowned as the 69th Miss Universe in Florida. Now, she has become the third Mexican woman to hold the title. The pageant that was held on May 16, in the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood Hotel in Florida was aired live and saw participants from all around the globe. Andrea Meza was preceded by previous Miss Universe Zozobini Tunzi of South Africa.

Andrea Meza has to compete with 73 other gorgeous women from all around the globe for the coveted title out of which Miss India Adeline Castelino was also being considered as a strong contender. Castelino was able to reach the top five along with Miss Brazil, Miss Peru and Miss Dominican Republic. Andrea made history with her victory and has become the third Mexican woman to be crowned as Miss Universe.

Apart from being a model, Andrea Meza is also a software engineer who is utterly vocal about gender disparities and gender violence. She even made some blunt statements during the pageant. Meza was born on August 13 in Chihuahua City and is daughter of Alma Carmona and Santiago Meza. Andrea has two younger sisters and belongs to Chinese ancestry. She has done her graduation from the Autonomous University of Chihuahua as a software engineer in 2017
