ICSE boards cancels 10 examinations

mid rising in Covid-19, The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) on Monday decided to cancel the class 10 board examination due to the ongoing pandemic. It also said that the examination for 12 will remain the same as per the previous order it will be conducted at a later period. According to an official statement, "Given the present 'worsening situation' of Covid-19 pandemic in the country, the CISCE has decided to CANCEL the ICSE (Class X) 2021 examination. The options are given in the earlier circular dated 16 April 2021 now stands withdrawn " they also added that, "The safety and wellbeing of our students and teaching faculty is our topmost priority and of paramount interest."

CISCE called it "fair and an unbiased criterion." The criterion on which basis the result will be declared for ICSE class 10 and the date of result declaration will be announced afterwards by the CISCE. The ICSE  boards class 10 and 12 exams were scheduled to be held from 4th May.

Meanwhile, India reported over 2.59 lakh fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours which has pushed the country's caseload to over 15.3 million.
