ttar Pradesh's Noida witnessed an oxygen crisis, several patients are gasping for oxygen and Hospitals have been complaining of a shortage of supply. Similarly, the National capital is under the same worsening situation where oxygen is out of stock.
According to the reports, in few hospitals of Noida patients have to face an oxygen crisis twice in 12 hours due to a surge in demand amid rising Covid-19 cases. Whereas requirements for oxygen are high and its supply is barely half. Gautam Buddh Nagar district reportedly needs over 60 tonnes of oxygen but it's getting 30 tonnes per day. Suhas LY, District Magistrate, Gautam Buddh Nagar, on Tuesday issued orders posting two senior officers round the clock at Inox Air products Pvt. Ltd Greater Noida factory that manufactures and supplies medical oxygen.
According to PTI, one officer has been posted at the factory from 8 am to 8 pm and another for 12 hours beginning at 8 in the evening. Meanwhile, Gautam Buddh Nagar has reported around 3,765 new Covid-19 cases and the total caseload has also increased by 640 to 31,597.
