umbai Airport, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) will be shut due to cyclone, duration of suspension between 11am and 2pm on Monday, as per the airport spokesperson.

He also added "Due to cyclone alert, operations at Mumbai Airport need to be closed from 1100 hours local time to 1400 hours local time of 17th May, 2021 for 3 hours.

As per the officials aware of developments, a SpiceJet flight on its way to Mumbai, fly from Chennai, which was scheduled to arrive at 8:15am have been diverted to Surat during the cyclone. Maharashtra and Gujarat are among many states and Union territories where an alert has been imposed due to the heavy cyclone with gusty air. In Gujarat Tauktae is expected to make a landfall later in the day on Monday, or in the early morning hours of Tuesday as per the IMD. The threat of the cyclone has also led to the vaccine against the Covid-19 in Mumbai, to be suspended for a day.
