ina khan's father passed away in Mumbai on April 20, night. Her father reportedly died of cardiac arrest in Mumbai. The versatile actress, who was in Srinagar, her hometown was back to Mumbai with in span of time. She was photographed at the airport accompanying her family members. Hina's dearest friends from the entertainment industry such as Kanchi Singh, Eijaz Khan, Hiten Tejwani paid condolence to her father on social media.

Kanchi Singh, co-star of Hina from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, disclosed the news of Hina's father's death on social media. She posted a throwback glimpse of Hina with her father on her Instagram story and she wrote a note that "Unbelievable! RIP uncle. My heartfelt condolences to the entire family." Eijaz Khan who featured as a contestant on the TV reality show Bigg Boss season 14 also paid tribute on social media , "Sorry for your loss Hina. Inna lilla hi wa inna ilayihi rajioon. Khuda unko jannat naseeb farmaaye," he tweeted. Many members of same industry also paid condolence on social media.
