any parts of the country are witnessing cyclone as well heavy rain and thunderstorms. Meanwhile Prime minister, Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat and Diu today to review the damage caused by the cyclone Tauktae. As per the information, Prime minister Narendra Modi will be leaving Delhi around 9:30 am and Bhavnagar from where he will proceed for an aerial survey of Una, Diu, Jafarabad and Mahuva. He will also be holding a meeting in Ahmedabad.

According to the statement given by officials at least seven people were killed in Gujarat as cyclone Tauktae hit and caused destruction along the coast by damaging houses and trees.Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said that, despite such a high-intensity cyclone hitting the state, his government managed to prevent any major loss to life or property as over two lakh people were already shifted to safe places.

Meanwhile, As per IMD cyclone Tauktae weakened into a depression and lay centered over south Rajasthan and the adjoining Gujarat region on Wednesday. After causing widespread rain in Gujarat, the cyclone is expected to bring showers in many other states including Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi and Rajasthan due to its interaction with western disturbance.
