oogle will allow its employees to work from home until September 2021, extending the return to the office by a few months, the New York reported on Monday.

Sunder Pichai Chief Executive Officer of Google stated to the company's staff via email on Sunday that the company was also testing the idea of a "flexible work week" once it is safe to return to the office during the pandemic, according to the sources. According to the foreign sources as part of the plan, Google employees would be expected to work at least three days a week in the office while rest of the days work from home would be allowed. 

Pichai shared his plan through email "We are testing a hypothesis that a flexible work model will lead to greater productivity, collaboration, and well-being,” Google was one of the first company who raised the questions to its employees to work from home due to the pandemic. It has previously delayed the timing by when the employees should return to the office from January next year to July. This initiative was taken by Google for their employees' safety amidst the Covid pandemic.
